To realize this vision, they needed a technology partner with proven expertise in <a href=\"https:\/\/intellias.com\/healthcare-software-development\/\">medical software engineering<\/a> to help them efficiently implement their digital strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Our client\u2019s region is experiencing rapid economic growth and faces a significant influx of visitors and workers from other countries putting an extra burden on the healthcare system while posing health risks to nationals. This strain on the healthcare system also slowed down the issuance of visas, as the traditional, paper-based visa application procedure couldn\u2019t handle the growing number of applicants. This challenge could not be solved otherwise than by digital means. However, our client\u2019s existing medical software for handling expatriate checkups was not able to scale easily along with the increasing number of expat home countries.<\/p>\n<p>Digitizing healthcare checkup services and linking them into a single network would streamline visa processes. It serves several high-level purposes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor the medical conditions of individuals arriving to the country to eliminate health risks<\/li>\n<li>Verify the quality of checkups in expats\u2019 countries of origin to ensure adherence to the highest medical standards<\/li>\n<li>Digitize the healthcare sector and reduce paperwork to establish a smart e-health ecosystem of medical software solutions<\/li>\n<li>Streamline visa issuance to handle the growing number of visitors and workers from abroad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Functionality-wise, our client\u2019s medical examination software is a purpose-built website that handles different scenarios based on user roles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Expats<\/b> can book appointments for checkups at certified local medical centers and print out appointment slips upon payment.<\/li>\n<li><b>Medical centers<\/b> can enter checkup results of applicants and apply for accreditation to be eligible to participate in the health checkup program.<\/li>\n<li><b>Authorities<\/b> can view statistics and keep track of health indicators nation-wide as well as verify and audit medical centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While elaborating user roles and corresponding interaction scenarios for this medical software, Intellias <a href=\"https:\/\/intellias.com\/experience-design\/\">UI\/UX designers<\/a> dove deep into research and went through several iterations of sketching, wireframing, user journey creation, and prototyping to come up with an impeccable, human-centric design.<\/p>\n<p>To allow for automated deployment, scaling, and management of the healthcare solution, the Intellias DevOps service assisted our client in migrating their infrastructure to Kubernetes, ensuring hassle-free delivery orchestration.<\/p>\n<p>One of our primary tasks was to stabilize the system in the face of increasingly high loads.
