Both companies agreed to join efforts and support global car manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to provide solutions to the challenges of implementing software-defined mobility solutions and generating new revenue streams. Intellias and DMI will leverage their strong footprints in Europe and the U.S. as well as comprehensive in-vehicle and connected vehicle platform expertise to support customers on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p>Current vehicles include more than 100 million lines of code as well as a sophisticated Electronics\/Electric (E\/E) architecture that is becoming more and more centralized. Vast software engineering expertise is needed to transform vehicles and realize end-to-end architectures, which combine on-board and off-board services that bring user experience to a new level. In addition, automakers must now become collaborative software mobility companies and undergo significant transformation.<\/p>\n<h3>Unique, value-adding competencies<\/h3>\n<p>Each company brings a unique set of competencies to the mix. While DMI is heavily focusing on company transformation and connected vehicle program consulting and execution as a key prerequisite and enabler for new software-defined business strategies, Intellias supports customers with product engineering in form of design and implementation of embedded and cloud-based software solutions.
